On the Principles Governing the Conduct and Representation of the Regiment
Issued for Permanent Observance
Article II - Honor
1. The conduct of all who represent the 6th Virginia shall reflect dignity, discipline, humility, and restraint becoming soldiers under arms.

2. In camp, upon the march, upon the field, and before the public, behavior shall be governed by the standards expected of men in military service.

3. Speech, bearing, and deportment shall be consistent with the character of the period represented.
​
4. Personal disputes, impropriety, disorder, or conduct bringing discredit upon the Regiment are inconsistent with its character and shall not be permitted.
​
5. Honor shall be measured not in display, but in steadiness, reliability, and fidelity to duty.
​
6. The shouting of modern expressions, profane language of the present day, or familiar challenges directed across the field which break the impression of the period are contrary to the dignity of the Regiment and shall cease when observed.
​
7. Members shall remember that spectators hear what soldiers utter; words spoken in the field must preserve the authenticity of the portrayal and the seriousness of the occasion.
